WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE CHILDREN’S CENTER RECEIVES ACCREDITATIONWestchester Community College’s children’s center facility has again received accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Virginia Marx Children’s Center on the Valhalla campus met the Early Childhood Program standards of this organization. The organization has stringent standards which encompass a wide variety of areas including strength/number of community partnerships, teachers, curricula, and health. Since 1986, the Virginia Marx Children’s Center at Westchester Community College has provided care for the children of students and staff. The college is proud of the accomplishments of our students who have earned credits, graduated, transferred to four-year colleges and entered rewarding careers. This resource gives many of our students the flexibility they need to balance their childcare demands with their classes. The Center caters to both the children of students and those of non-student community members. The children range from six weeks old through five years of age. For information, please phone 914-606-6644.
