About the Mount Vernon Extension Center
Westchester Community College's newest extension center has opened at 175 Gramatan Avenue in Mount Vernon, New York. The college offers a host of classes in a newly renovated 16,000 square-foot building. The new center is equipped with state-of-the-art computers, cutting-edge classroom space, and advisement facilities. It offers dozens of credit courses in Business, Marketing, Foods and Nutrition, Mathematics, English, Reading and Study Skills, etc.

On-Site Academic Support
Students attending classes at Westchester Community College Mount Vernon are invited to drop by the Mount Vernon Academic Support Center for free help with Writing, Reading, ESL, Math, Accounting Spanish, Pre-Nursing & CIS coursework. From the North:

• Take the NY State Thruway (87S) to the Cross County Pkwy East.
• Merge onto Cross County Pkwy. Follow directions below.

From the South:

• Take the Major Deegan Expressway to the NY State Thruway (87N)
• Take the NY State Thruway (87N) to the Cross County Pkwy East.
• Merge onto Cross County Pkwy. Follow directions below.

From the Bronx River Parkway:

• Take Bronx River Pkwy N to Exit 11E (Mt. Vernon). Follow directions below.

From the Bronx River and Sprain Brook Pkwys:

• Take either parkway traveling south to the Cross County Pkwy -Exit 11E (Mt. Vernon). Follow directions below.

• Take Exit 7 (W. Broad St./Gramatan Ave.) Stay in left lane.
• Make left onto W. Broad
• At the traffic light make a right onto Gramatan Ave.
• Continue through 4 traffic lights.
• The center is directly on the left after the fourth light.
